Improve labor outcomes with a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop. Learn our physiological techniques that offer a complete system of birth preparation and labor ease concepts to improve labor with the baby's position.

Spinning Babies® begins with fetal rotation to reveal the lesser-known physiology of birth anatomy. Your passion, our approach. Start seeing solutions in labor progress with this new lens on childbirth.

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • Facilitate comfort in pregnancy and ease in childbirth for your clients
  • Improve fetal position without manipulation of the fetus
  • Identify issues faster; gentle actions to shorten a long labor or avoid a cesarean
  • Use less (or no) force to resolve malposition and labor dystocia
  • And much, much more!

Spinning Babies® Three Principles SM, Three Balances SM, and Pelvic Levels Solutions SM offers the world’s first complete system of birth preparation and labor ease concepts using baby’s position. Physiological techniques change the effective size of the pelvis through the body’s own innate capacity to resolve or prevent labor dystocia.

Completing a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop is the prerequisite for our Spinning Babies® Integration Workshop and advanced training programs.

Spinning Babies® asks a new question, “Where’s Baby?” One simple question leads to profound solutions. The better we understand the answer to this question the better our response to long, painful labors, fetal malposition (posterior, asynclitic, etc.) or labor dystocia. We believe baby’s position is a clue to the state of the anatomy.

Lisa Cryderman

Lisa Cryderman has 32 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where she currently works in a busy, high-risk Labor and Delivery setting where 6,000 babies are born each year.

Lisa’s initial interest in the birthing process started in the 1980s when her older sisters were home birthing. This sparked a life-long passion for birth and inspired her to become a Registered Nurse.

As a devoted lifelong learner, she has been a Birth from Within Mentor.  mentoring Prenatal Classes from 2005 -2017.  She also currently sees clients as an Energy Healer and Bodyworker.

Passionately bringing her diverse knowledge and experience to the birthing families in her care, Lisa loves to teach and mentor new parents, as well as midwifery, nursing, and paramedic students. Her drive to teach is fueled by the desire to improve the knowledge of physiologic birth practices in the hospital setting, and she views the Spinning Babies paradigm as the way to do this.

Learning this paradigm changed everything about how Lisa assesses and plans her nursing care. She is determined to share Spinning Babies not only for the wellbeing of the birth givers but also so that birth practitioners can experience the personal satisfaction Spinning Babies will bring to their work with the expectant families in their care.

As the mother of a young adult daughter, Lisa is at a point in her life where she is able to devote her time and passion to sharing Spinning Babies.
