This 3.5 day training offers a certification pathway to become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional. There will be many opportunities to collaborate, connect, and network with other birth professionals from across the disciplines that support birth. As well as covering the foundations of the approach, we allow time to discuss how we bring positive change into our communities. We will feel what it is to receive bodywork, discuss new protocols, and to disentangle from the fear and rush of today’s maternity system.

At the end of hands-on learning, you’ll be able to:

  • Match the progress of the baby through the pelvis with cardinal movements to track the key rotations for reassurance or to prevent or overcome labor dystocia.
  • Create a pregnancy routine to activate physiology in the pregnant body.
  • Demonstrate advanced neurophysiological techniques (body balancing) to facilitate a vaginal birth. Become proficient in The Three BalancesSM.
  • Assess fetal position according to your Scope of Practice. Be less dependent on ultrasound and more connected to the baby.
  • Gain confidence in physiological care and identify situations requiring medical interventions.
  • Describe embodied consent and live it in your practice.
  • List anatomical imbalances that impact fetal position and labor progress.
  • Know the signs of imbalances (Invitations to Act) in pregnancy and birth.
  • Demonstrate positions or techniques for each of the five levels of the pelvis for labor progress and to reduce childbirth pain.
  • Be confident in resolving labor dystocia due to posterior presentations or asynclitism.
  • Support non-separation after birth to increase attachment behaviors, when possible.
  • Develop a plan of implementation of Spinning Babies® in your own professional care.
  • Grow. Our bodies can hold and they can release stress and trauma. Maintaining respect for your own beliefs, learn to include the clues of physiology as a guide to living.

Pre-training materials will be available starting June 2025.

The registration fee includes:
  • Your hotel stay is included in the cost of registration. This includes a 4 night stay in a shared or double occupancy room at the Porter Hotel.
  • If you prefer a single occupancy room, there is an increase in the ticket price.
  • Breakfast and Lunch will be provided on days 1 - 3 of the Training. Day 4 will only include breakfast, as it is half day. (See the food & refreshments section above for more details.)

Registration Timeline:

  • Early Bird Registration Rates end on June 23, 2025: $3,095 double occupancy / $3,695 single occupancy
  • Standard Registration Rates will begin on June 24, 2025: $3,695 double occupancy / $4,295 single occupancy

Over three and a half days, you'll be immersed in the renowned Spinning Babies® approach, learning how neurophysiology, body balancing, and fascia can enhance spontaneous birth and mother-baby bonding. Designed by our founder, Gail Tully, and her incredible team, this hands-on training is filled with the signature techniques and insights that have made Spinning Babies® a worldwide movement.

By joining this training, you will:

  • Become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional and gain unparalleled expertise in physiological birth.
  • Earn 25 Continuing Education (CE) credits through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and/or CME credit with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
  • Join a global community dedicated to shifting the birth paradigm.

Go back to birth with "new eyes." Identify issues before fetal distress of a loss of morale—the birthing person's, the team's, and your own. Match labor dystocia to which anatomy needs freedom and learn how to release hidden tensions in muscles and fascia. And most importantly, hear your clients say, "I did it!"

  • Midwife
  • Labor and delivery nurse
