Lisa Cryderman has 32 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where she currently works in a busy, high-risk Labour and Delivery setting where 6,000 babies are born each year. Lisa’s initial interest in the birthing process started in the 1980s when her older sisters were home birthing. This sparked a life-long passion for birth and inspired her to become a Registered Nurse. As a devoted lifelong learner, she has been a Birthing from Within Mentor, mentoring Prenatal Classes from 2005 -2017. She also currently sees clients as an Energy Healer and Bodyworker. Passionately bringing her diverse knowledge and experience to the birthing families in her care, Lisa loves to teach and mentor new parents, as well as midwifery, nursing, and paramedic students. Her drive to teach is fueled by the desire to improve the knowledge of physiologic birth practices in the hospital setting, and she views the Spinning Babies® paradigm as the way to do this. Learning this paradigm changed everything about how Lisa assesses and plans her nursing care. She is determined to share Spinning Babies® not only for the wellbeing of the birth givers but also so that birth practitioners can experience the personal satisfaction Spinning Babies will bring to their work with the expectant families in their care. As the mother of a young adult daughter, Lisa is at a point in her life where she is able to devote her time and passion to sharing Spinning Babies®.
